Spiritual Consumption

Our bodies should not only be fed, but so should our souls. The only way that our souls can get the proper daily allowances we need is to obey God's Word, Read and Study His Word, and Fellowship with other believers. Otherwise, we will be anemic and become weak.

We should be hungry for the Word of God. Only Jesus can fill that hunger and thirst we are in need of. Not Buddha, not Mohammed, not anyone person or thing else can. Only Jesus. We may be alive physically, but spiritually if we don't take care of our souls, we become spiritually sick.

That is what sin is. Sin is lawlessness. We are predestined to sin and because of that sin, we are separated from God. Spiritually we are dying of salvation and thirst.

However, that thirst and hunger can be supplemented. Like I mentioned earlier, the only One who has what we need is Jesus Christ. If you suffer from spiritual hunger and thirst and wish to be filled, I ask that you pray this prayer:

"Lord Jesus Christ, I ask that You fill me with your Holy Spirit. Forgive me of my sins. I accept You as Lord and Savior. I ask that my name be written in the Lamb's Book of Life. I thank You for saving me, in Jesus' name, Amen."

Matthew 5:6
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

John 4:9-14
9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?
13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Matthew 6:11
Give us this day our daily bread.
