God Has a Plan for all of us

Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

God is our Creator. He is the One who created both man and woman in His Image and in His likeness. In fact, Genesis 1 writes that the Trinity created us. Throughout the Bible, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, provided men with strength and raised the dead of various women. They provided for, cared for, fed, forgave, and comforted many others. Jesus Christ died was betrayed, tried, beaten, mocked, and executed. He died on the cross just for us, for we are sinners. Jesus Christ throughout his ministry healed the sick, raised the dead, forgiven sins, and preached the gospel. You see, Jesus Christ was much more than a compassionate Teacher, He is God the Son. Through Him, all things were created. He was God in the Flesh.

Our God is the God of the underdog. King David was the youngest child of a poor man, named Jesse. David was not what one expected of a future king. Of course, God had a plan for David. David's life is an interesting one, to say the least. David was a young boy who slew a giant using five stones and a slingshot. (1 Samuel 21) He was a musician in King Saul's court. King Saul later tried to kill David. Later, David became King and wrote most of the Psalms. He had a son with a woman he had an affair with, who became a wise and extremely wealthy King, Solomon.

Other examples of underdogs in the Bible including Gideon, who was also one no one, if any, expected to lead an army of only 300 (or any number of) men against an enemy of huge numbers. Normally, an army of 300 men versus thousands would have little to no chance of succeeding. But God is a God of miracles, and "all things are possible with God." (Mark 10:27) Gideon and his army defeated his enemies! (Judges 6-8) The nation was quieted for forty years in the days of Gideon. (Judges 8:28) After his death, the nation committed idolatry once again.

The point I am making is that no matter what the world says about you and no matter how bad things are going in your life, there is someone who can help. He is the one you need to call for guidance, for provision, for help. Life is too short and life is too important. God created life. It is up to you to live that life as he called you to live it. God has a plan for you. He really does love you. He really does care about you. He is not some cosmic being. He will help you when you are down. He is the truest Friend you will ever have. Turn your life over to Him. Call on His name. He is inviting you to hear His voice and "open the door, He will come in to Him, and will sup with Him, and he with Me." (Rev. 3:20).
